1954 Mason and Hamlin Centennial Model CC2
Serial Number 1544 (Boston made)
Just completed, this magnificent concert grand was completely restored including: ebony hand rubbed lacquer finish with polished brass hardware, original soundboard and bridges are perfect, soundboard refinished for optimized beauty, and bridges were treated with CA adhesive to maximize clarity and transmission of tone. New Qm7 Pinblock was installed by fitting to rim, gluing and dowelling into stretcher and sides of case. New music wire by Stephan Paulello of France, Bass strings by JD Grandt of Canada. Plate was refinished and lettered, new agraffes, new Klinke nickel plate bolts and new hardened plate screws. Hard maple action is in perfect condition. New CMP Classic hammers (USA) were installed. French damper felts are new, as well as new English key bushing felts. Original ivories are in perfect condition. Touchweight is 52 grams down and 22-25 grams up. This piano has a very open sound that draws you in. Very expressive and powerful..
